A Guide for International Capital Entering Sydney Residential Development
International investors need more than a site. They need eligibility review, independent adviser coordination, a clear project structure and disciplined remote reporting.
Separate coordination from advice
H2O may coordinate introductions to independent legal, tax, accounting and FIRB advisers where required. Those advisers, not H2O, provide professional advice to the client.
Define governance before capital moves
Remote investors should understand decision gates, reporting frequency, adviser roles, bank and SPV arrangements, approval milestones and exit assumptions before participating.
Project-specific structures matter
Different investors may require different ownership, tax, currency and reporting considerations. These should be reviewed early, not retrofitted after a site has been acquired.
